Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will launch a mission (GCOM-C) to understand global climate change measuring color of the earth surface. This satellite will measure ocean color to detect phytoplankton dynamics, such as red tide.  Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE) is going to support verification of the ocean color in coastal waters.  Equipment to measure ocean color in Ariake Bay was set on the observation tower of Saga University on April 21 and 22, 2017.
