Fujii resources NI(60) submitter Stephan Buchert (scb@stelab.nagoya-u.ac.jp) notes This is for supporting a rocket campaign, Japanese SS-520-2 to be launched from NyAlesund, for the study of ion energization and outflow in the cusp/cleft region. Dates (25 Nov til 5 Dec) and times (5-11 UT) are according to the launch windows. In case of a launch before Dec 5 the rest of the campaign will be canceled. We plan to follow the footpoint of the rocket with the ESR 32m and also use the 42m. We also plan to use the KST system, but details (UHF or VHF) are not yet determined. Japan has 40 hours, the other Associate countries have indicated readiness to contribute. The expected maximum is about 100 hours which will then cover both ESR and KST operations. We expect also to coordinate with CLUSTER-II/groundbased interests.
