Request for ISEE Award Nominations
Aiming to develop space-earth environmental research, promoting interdisciplinary research, and exploring the new discipline of space-earth environmental research, the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE) is presenting an ISEE Award to a prominent research activity that is based on the ISEE Joint Research Program. ISEE seeks nominations as below.
Nomination criteria
An individual or research team who has contributed significantly to the development of space-earth environmental research, the promotion of interdisciplinary research, and exploring the new discipline of space-earth environmental research, through prominent research activities based on the ISEE Joint Research Program. The award is open to both current and past researches from any category of the ISEE Joint Research Program. Nominations are accepted irrespective of team or individual affiliation and nationality.

Director of ISEE, Nagoya University
Award
The award will be granted annually, as a rule, to one individual or team. A recipient of the award is presented with a certificate and a gift. The award winner and his/her achievements are posted on the ISEE website as well as at the entrance of the ISEE building.
Award ceremony
An award ceremony will be held at the ISEE Symposium and a commemorative lecture will be given by the award winner or team representative at the same time.
Selection process
Nominations are reviewed by the ISEE Award Selection Committee led by the ISEE Director. Results of the review are approved by the ISEE Advisory Board and the winner is chosen at the ISEE Faculty Meeting.
How to submit a nomination and deadline
Nominations, including self-nominations, are accepted from all communities related to space-earth environmental research. Please prepare a letter of recommendation including the required items below in MS Word or plain text file format.
・Items to be included in the letter of recommendation (Any style format is acceptable):
1. Recommender’s name, affiliation, e-mail address, and telephone number
2. Nominee’s name, affiliation, e-mail address, and telephone number (In case of a research team, a representative and all team members.)
3. Reason of recommendation
4. The list of ISEE Joint Research Program activities and the related publication of nominee(s)
