I am a Japanese Associate Forum member of the EISCAT AB.

Major targets:

(1) The lower thermospheric wind dynamics in the polar ionosphere based on EISCAT and LIDAR data and others.

(2) Coupling process between the upper mesophere and lower thermosphere based on the EISCAT radar, sodium LIDAR, the Tromsö MF radar, the meteor radar, and others.

(3) Coupling process between magnetosphere, ionosphere and thermosphere based on the EISCAT data, a sodium LIDAR, photometer, and others.

A sodium LIDAR at Tromsoe is one of major tools!
