2026-06-15
Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) Workshop 2026 was held at the Sakata-Hirata Hall, Nagoya University, during June 7-12, 2026. The workshop was co-sponsored by the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE), Nagoya University, and the National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR). There were 70 participants from 8 countries (43 from overseas).
The SuperDARN is a network of High-Frequency (HF) radars located in the high- and mid-latitude regions of both hemispheres, used to study the dynamics of the ionosphere and upper atmosphere on a global scale. There are a total of about SuperDARN radars in both hemispheres. During the workshop, a wide variety of topics, including scientific results, technical issues, operational policies, collaboration, and future plans, were presented and discussed.
