HINODE satellite observed the fine structure of magnetic field producing the gigantic solar flare Japanese solar observing satellite HINODE successfully observed the fine structure of magnetic field on the solar active region where the largest solar flare occurred in the current solar cycle.

2nd International School on Equatorial and Low-Latitude Ionosphere (ISELLI-2) The 2nd International School on Equatorial and Low-Latitude Ionosphere (ISELLI-2) was held at the Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria on 11-15 September 2017. Fifty-two people joined from nine countries.

The training session for ERG data analysis at NCKU, Taiwan The ERG-Science Workshop was held at NCKU, Taiwan from September 6 to 8, 2017.The members from CIDAS/ERG-Science Center organized the training session for Taiwan researchers and they explained the ERG data analysis using the programs developed at ERG-Science Center.

PSTEP Summer School Rikubetsu 2017 The ISEE, Nagoya University, held PSTEP Summer School Rikubetsu 2017 at Rikubetsu, Hokkaido on July 30 - August 4, 2017 in collaboration with the Project for Solar-Terrestrial Environment Prediction (PSTEP, the PI is Prof. Kusano, the director of ISEE), and Rikubetsu town.

PSTEP Summer School RIKUBETSU 2017 "PSTEP Summer School RIKUBETSU 2017" was held from July 31 to August 4, 2017 at Rikubetsu, Hokkaido, where the observatory of ISEE is located.
