X-ray satellite Hitomi (ASTRO-H) and ChubuSat-2 microsatellite were successfully launched from the Tanegashima Space Center on February 17, 2016. ISEE members played central roles in development of Soft Gamma-ray Detector (SGD) onboard Hitomi and Radiation Detector onboard ChubuSat-2. SGD will observe cosmic gamma rays in 60-600 keV energy band with 10 times better sensitivities than previous instruments. RD onboard ChubuSat-2 will observe radiations (high energy protons, ions, neutrons and gamma rays) in the Hitomi orbit.
