New installation of an auroral imager and electromagnetic wave receivers at Husafell, Iceland
2017-03-28
The PWING Project has been started this fiscal year to understand longitudinal distribution of plasma dynamics in the inner magnetosphere, and install auroral imagers and electromagnetic wave receivers at 8 field stations at about 60 degree magnetic latitudes around the north pole.  This network observation will make coordinated measurements with the ERG (Arase) satellite launched by ISAS/JAXA on December 20, 2016.  Since last December to this March, these instruments has been and will be installed at Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Finland, and Russia.
